We are currently looking to recruit a Site Supervisor located in Canning Town.Job Title - Site SupervisorDepartment - EstatesSalary - £24,591 - £26,729 + £3,500 shift allowance Contract - Permanent Location - Institute of TechnologyCanning Town Job Purpose:Provide an effective, seamless, and efficient Estates and Facilities Management service to any college site to meet and exceed the expectations of college stakeholders and especially learners.Provision of a front of house EFM service team to deal with the day-to-day operations at any college premises in line with the EFM strategic policies and procedures.Key duties and responsibilities of the post:

• The following duties and responsibilities are intended to give a broad indication of the variety of tasks that the post holder may be asked to undertake and are expressed in sufficient detail to distinguish the grade of the post.
• The post holder will be required to demonstrate a can-do attitude and a hands-on approach when required.
• Additional job requirements may be added in the section headed other duties applicable to all staff working at the college.
• It should be noted that a job description is not an exhaustive list of activities and employees may be asked to carry out commensurate with the grade of the post.
• The job description may also be amended to take into account of changed circumstances and employees will be consulted when this is necessary.
• To assist with the provision of the day-to-day operation of the EFM service; specific responsibilities will include:
• Supervision of EFM staff and contractors as and when required
• Porterage, postal, good delivery service, and logistics
• Planned Maintenance system of works
• Reactive maintenance works
• Operation of alarm systems associated with fire and security
• Emergency response
• Energy monitoring
• Provision of out of hours response
• Compliance monitoring for buildings and systems of works, including water quality and life critical systems.
• Quality standards maintained and monitored for the classroom learning environment
• Health and safety compliance
• Communications at all levels within the organisation
• Completion of rooms set ups around the campuses
• IT moves around all college buildings
• Maintenance of buildings fabric as per building requirements.
• Act as first line Audio Visual Champions

Required Skills & ability to demonstrate:

• They can work as part of an efficient team and on their own initiative.
• They have good communication skills at all levels.
• They are sufficient in basic computer skills, including e-mails, writing reports and CAFM systems.
• They possess can do attitude.
• They can prioritise tasks in a constructive manner.
• An understanding in delivering high quality customer care service within a challenging environment.
• They understand accountability and ownership for an effective service delivery.
• They can react to change within the environment.
• A full understanding of risk and health and safety systems of work.
• Engagement with external contractors
• An understanding of engagement with stakeholders and presenting a professional image.
• They are willing to be flexible/adaptable to meet the needs of the site and customer requirements.
