Job Description

Contract - Hybrid - £350 - £400 a day (Outside IR35)James Chase is currently looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for our client who is a well established company working within the Travel and Leisure industry based in the UK.You will be involved in the planning, transition and delivery of projects. The desired candidate must have excellent communication skills as the role will include liaison with various teams and stakeholders.Key Tasks/Accountabilities:

  • MS Windows Operating Systems and associated technologies..
  • Microsoft Active Directory administration.
  • MS SQL Server
  • Clustered server environments
  • Storage Area Networks
  • VMWare v-Sphere
  • Website and proxy management
  • MS Exchange and/or Gmail
  • Google suite
  • Load Balancers
  • API Gateways
  • Middleware management
  • Redis
  • Linux
  • Backup technologies
  • AV server/endpoint protection
  • MPLS
  • TCP/IP Ethernet Networks, Switches, Routers, Firewalls
Essential Skills & Experience Required:
  • Extensive IT support experience
  • Advanced troubleshooting experience
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Delivery focused and flexible in work undertaken
  • Ability to take ownership, highly committed to achieving results
  • Excellent team worker, sharing knowledge with colleagues
  • Solid documentation and attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex information clearly and concisely
  • ITIL Service Management experience
  • Committed to working in accordance with agreed processes and standards
  • Used to working with multiple vendors and cloud support partners
  • Experience in support handovers and service transition
This will be a hybrid working pattern and you will be required to make occasional visits to the head office.
