Job Description

Our client, who are a member’s organisation within the travel and tourism industry are seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing professional to join them and lead the affiliate channel marketing and events & exhibition strategy.Within this role you will be a part of an organisation that supports over one million members across the UK, sharing a passion for the great outdoors.Location: East GrinsteadSalary: Up to £55k per annum plus benefitsWithin this role, you will be specifically responsible for developing and managing our clients B2B Industry and Dealer marketing strategy in support of membership acquisition and retention targets.Equally you will also be responsible for the planning, organisation and implementation of their full Events Schedule of Indoor & Outdoor exhibitions/events, Annual Industry Awards and Marketing Operations capability around temporary site developments and training course products in accordance with their policy and annual business objectives, including revenue targets of circa £600k per annum.You will also submit annual consolidated budget reports and proposals, to ensure control of approved expenditure and agreed budgets as well as sourcing and directing the use of voluntary assistance support in the organisation of events, exhibitions and the dealer strategy.Our ideal applicant will have/be;

  • A professional event and/or commercial qualification is desirable
  • Proven Affinity Marketing relationship management experience in an intermediated/dealer/ partner environment
  • Previous success within new business development
  • Proven events management experience in a membership/customer-centric commercial environment (ideally B2C or B2B2C), with specific experience in large outdoor and indoor exhibitions and events.
  • Proven ability and confidence to deliver outstanding events on time and within budget
  • The ability to create strong relationships with external business partners, sponsors and suppliers.
  • Exposure to and understanding of contract management
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Commercially astute
  • Excellent relationship management skills
