Technology comprises four teams: Smart Infrastructure (Intelligent Transport Systems & Lighting) and Asset Management, Software Development & Hosting, Smart Places and Security Consultancy. The Technology business is currently delivering, and has a strong pipeline of, a number of projects across the country for numerous public and private sector clients including Highways England, Transport for London, Network Rail, Department for Transport, various Civil Engineering Contractors, Local Authorities and Central Government.We have a rich pedigree of working on leading edge projects including Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, Crossrail and the London Congestion Charging Scheme and have recently launched a new Smart Places initiative. This will examine how a wide range of technology disruptors including artificial intelligence, machine learning, augmented reality and blockchain can be deployed to shape the future of our cities and towns over the next few years.About the RoleCapita Technology are looking for enthusiastic, self-starting graduates with a keen interest in Project Management with a desire to learn and to apply their knowledge acquired at university in addressing the challenges of our clients. We provide professional consultancy services predominantly in the transportation and property sectors but are also diversifying into other sectors including environment and utilities.Typical projects include supporting Highways England in the enforcement of Smart Motorways and management of their technology assets, monitoring and evaluation of connected and autonomous vehicle trials for the Department for Transport or designing security solutions for the UKs critical national infrastructure. You will work as part of a team to help deliver projects, undertake research activities or assist in the preparation of proposals to our clients.We have a thriving Graduate community with hubs at most of all our key locations and offer support, guidance and mentoring to assist you with the next stage of your career. We have a particular emphasis on encouraging individuals professional development through to accreditation with relevant professional bodies with both on the job and structured formal training to enhance your skills.LocationThe role will be based from our East Grinstead or Bristol office although travel to attend other office locations or potentially client meetings across the UK, sometimes necessitating periods of time away from home, should also be expected.Expected Qualities and Qualifications* Degree educated in a business related discipline ideally with an actual or predicted grade 2:1 or higher.* Keen interest in Project Management.* Knowledge of Project Management methodologies including PRINCE2* Interest in Infrastructure Technology.* Good communication skills and the ability to prioritise and multi-task.* High level of attention to detail.* Excellent IT, communication and written skills.* Strong willingness to learn and a keen desire to work towards accreditation with a relevant Institution.* Organised and able to work on your own initiative at times.
