Our established and highly reputable engineering based client is seeking to recruit a field service engineer within their compressed air division. This role is available due to good levels of company growth and will cover the south east (home counties region). Company vehicle and mobile phone provided. Full time role.Responsibilities:Reporting to the service manager the successful candidate will deliver an excellent compressed air engineering service to customers throughout the region, providing advice, diagnostics, routine maintenance and emergency help whenever / wherever needed.Duties and responsibilities include:Undertaking planned and preventative maintenance of compressed air systems.Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repair.Take part in machine commissioning and training activities.Install compressor and compressed air systems including pipework.Essential skills / experience:Electrically / electronically skilled.Have a sound mechanical background with previous compressor experience.Have excellent time management skills and ability to plan and make own appointments.Update and maintain the company customer record system.Be a self motivated and enthusiastic team player.The successful applicant will:Experienced in an engineering, manufacturing, mechanical / electrical related background.Display high levels of initiative and problem solving acumen.Show great organisation and time management skills to ensure tasks are completed in a timely fashion.The ability to effectively prioritise a changing workload and tasks of varying degrees of urgency to meet deadlines.Be able to communicate effectively, using a range of methods, with other members of staff and customers.Be self driven and self motivated who can excel under pressure.Engage with others when working in a team to achieve a common goal.Must be computer literate.Personal qualities:Good communication skills.Driving licence (preferably clean)Computer literate with at least basic understanding of Microsoft packages, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.Enthusiastic, loyal, flexible and have the ability to work with team members whilst showing a caring attitude to the job.This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled compressor engineer to join a superb and company with a great reputation within their field.First Recruitment Services are acting as an Employment Agency on behalf of this vacancy.
