Job Description

Job Title: National Accounts ManagerSector: Garden Products / Grocery & High Street ChannelLocation: UK wide travel to customers and Newmarket OfficePackage: £ negotiable plus performance based bonus, car, pension, healthcare

National Accounts ManagerThis a new role created in response to recent sales growth and continued ambition to win further market share.Our new National Accounts Manager will be responsible for:
  • Developing and implementing plans that will achieve sales, margin and customer service standards across a small portfolio of grocery and high street retail groups.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with national accounts, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Negotiating trading agreements with national accounts to maximise mutual value.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance providing regular updates to senior management.
  • This is a home-based, hybrid role with one day each week at the Newmarket office.
  • Package: negotiable base salary + performance bonus + car options + 22 days holiday + pension + health insurance

Candidate profile: National Accounts ManagerTo maximise our success and customer service standards in this role we are looking for:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a National Accounts Manager - ideally in the garden products sector.
  • A proven track record of profitable sales performance at national account level in the grocery or high street channels.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into actions.
  • Adept at creating commercial profitable proposals using costing and sales data.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail.
Salary/Benefits Information:
  • As well as a basic salary that reflects the importance of the role, the job holder will enjoy a performance based bonus scheme, fully expensed company car or car allowance, 22 days holiday, pension and healthcare benefits and all support required to behome-based.
