Backed by a proud heritage of product innovation, technological expertise and market leadership, Saint-Gobain PerformancePlastics is dedicated to working with its customers to solve todays application issues and the challenges that lie ahead.As the site Quality Engineer you will be a customer ambassador ensuring our customers receive the highest quality products by driving operational quality and conformity through manufacturing processes and finished products. Working with site quality control,manufacturing operations and QA data you will investigate all issues or none conformities and customer complaints, utilising problem your solving tools and applying improvement tools such as FMEA, 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, Fishbone and similar. You will developcontrol plans for our products and manufacturing processes and apply audit processes supported by the application of continuous improvement methodologies to achieve ongoing customer satisfaction.This role is very much concentrated on manufacturing operations. You will be a customer ambassador, identifying areas of risk or production issues and resolving them through the application of your recognised problem solving skills and solution implementation.Required Skills

  • Experience of QA audits.
  • Experience of problem solving using QA tools (FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa, 5Y, SPC, Minitab or similar).
  • Experience of data driven Quality Engineering using Minitab or similar.
  • Experience of fast paced quality driven product manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience of continuous improvement activities, formal training would be an advantage e.g six sigma.
  • Formal academic qualifications in an Engineering or Science discipline are desirable however your experience is more important.
  • Excellent communicator at all levels.
  • Competent in Microsoft applications.
