Job Description

ROLE: Production Operator LOCATION: CorbyHOURS OF WORK: Fixed AM OR PM Shift (Monday-Friday)BASIC SALARY: £10.50 (AM) & £13.50 (PM) per hourCompany ProfileOur client is seeking a Production Operator to join their organisation based in Corby on a permanent basis.In this Production Operator role, you will be responsible for:

  • To ensure the correct setting of the various bowl types, manual and automatic, are set in accordance to procedures and work instructions.
  • Responsible for the removal of all damaged and defective product.
  • To ensure all routing stages are booked
  • To operate the department equipment, processing the components
  • To monitor and maintain records of all process conditions as laid out in the works instructions.
  • Packing of finished product according to packing instructions, box sizes and box quantities.
  • Location of packed goods into the stores.
  • Picking of product from the stores ready for dispatch
  • Preparation of goods for dispatch and loading of goods for dispatch
  • Ensuring that all goods are placed in collection area for external carriers
  • Moving raw material to location and booking into system
  • Stock control through cycle checking of both finished goods and raw material
  • Receiving subcontract work, performing inspection as required and distribution to appropriate areas for further processing
  • To receive WIP product from the various production areas within the factory and store within the designated area. To ensure all cosmetic products are clean and all testing has been carried out. Processing these parts through the scrap separator and sortingoperations.
  • To maintain the work areas that you work within to the highest possible standards of cleanliness and tidiness.
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably requested
To be successful as a Production Operator you must:
  • Have experience within a similar role and environment
  • Be flexible to work any additional hours required
  • Have a general interest in engineering
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Excellent mathematical aptitude
