Job Description

PSV Diagnostic TechnicianWere proud to be supporting an independent bus and coach repair company in their search for a PSV Diagnostic Technician. Situated in Durham, this business specializes in both mechanical and electrical diagnostics and deliver bespoke solutions.Due to significant growth, they are now looking to recruit a fully qualified auto technician with a knowledge in PSV, PCV or HGV Industry. You must have the relevant technical qualification, a current full driving licence as travelling in and around theNorth East of England and Yorkshire may be involved. You will be provided with a company van along with relevant diagnostic equipment.Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to use computer programs for diagnostic purposes such as Actia, Cummins Insite amongst others.
  • Be able to understand and read wiring diagrams.
  • Be able to use hand tools to a high level of skill.
  • Ability to use special tools such as heat shrink guns and crimping equipment.
  • Be responsible by assisting the company in caring for the environment.
  • Adhere to company Health and Safety Policy.
  • Be able to carry out simple and complex wiring repair/modification.
  • Ability to keep clear and accurate records.
Essential Requirements:
  • Ability to prioritise.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings/wiring diagrams.
  • Be able to use hand tools to a high level of skill.
  • Able to work independently and use your own initiative.
  • Ability to produce reports as required.
