Job DescriptionAs an Auditor for the Responsible Business Solutions Team (RBS) you’ll conduct Corporate Social and Ethical audits against recognised schemes (or client requirements) for which they have been qualified and approved. You’ll also review self-assessment questionnaires and correction action plans and evidence remotely.You’ll act as sole or lead auditor on selected schemes and ensure effective delivery of audits in line with Global Procedures and any Scheme requirements and will provide technical input to back office and sales teams as required.The role will involve active development of relationships through existing networks and contacts, you’ll need to remain up-to-date with current trends and client expectations in this field by; establishing and maintaining a network of stakeholders including NGOs, industry bodies and related contacts; attending public and client-led conferences; reading news related to their topic of interest; promoting the SGS approach and services at seminars and through presentations and articles.QualificationsTo be successful in this role you’ll need to have experience of managing and leading CSR activities, including supply chain activities, and will have ideally conducted audits against SMETA (SEDEX) or other social corporate responsibility schemes.The ideal candidate will be educated to degree-level (or equivalent) and will have successfully completed a recognised lead auditor qualification (IRCA 5-day lead auditor course or similar).
