Job Description

Are you looking to take the first step in a Cyber Security career with a company that prioritises solid training and developmentAre you a Database Analyst experienced in driving security understanding within businessesOur client is a leading Managed Service Provider in Durham who are looking to expand their security team.This is a great opportunity to develop a career with a company that will prioritise your development! They also offer good work/life balance within a team that is constantly working on interesting projects.Based in Durham.Responsibilities:

  • Improve client awareness of cyber threats.
  • Respond to active threats generated by antivirus software.
  • Respond to threats using cloud platforms (office 365, Azure etc).
  • Web filtering systems response.
  • Firewall usage and safeguarding.
  • IDS/IPS system use & protection.
  • Security response on integrated SIEM systems.
  • Responding to logged incidents (phishing, malware and security concerns).
  • Monthly security reports and discussion with clients.
Experience:
  • Experience within an analyst/ data focused role in cyber security.
  • Solid foundational experience with ISO27001 and driving security understanding within organisations.
  • Experience in the sector / a degree in a cyber security related subject.
  • Confidence with building relationships with 3rd parties, internal teams and the clients to provide efficient and bespoke solutions.
