Summary As a Service Assistant youll work across visitor areas, helping different departments deliver high-quality customer service. Salary: £10.78 per hour Contract/duration: Fixed term until October 2023 Hours/working pattern/hours: 13 hours per week which will include 1 weekend day What its like to work here We took ownership of this Grade I listed medieval hall and gardens in March 2022. The Hall provides a spectacular backdrop to the stunning 10-acregardens, paddock and fields, alongside magnificent views over Durham city towards the Cathedral.Visitors can enjoy the colourful gardens including ponds and an orchard or embark on garden trails and take part in sports activities over the summer. What youll be doing Service Assistants play an important role in supporting various property teams in greeting and helping our visitors.No two days are the same and you can expect to meet lots of different people and help in various visitorareas. You’ll be involved in different tasks. These could include greeting visitors on arrival, restocking the shelves in the shop and clearing tables in the café. Most importantly you’ll talk to visitors, answering any questions they have to make sure theycan find everything they need for their visit.This role would suit anyone with a passion for delivering great customer service and a keen interest in learning about visitor operations.
