Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civils Durham Full Time | Monday to FridayPermanent RoleSalary- upwards of £65,000 Plus Package, Depending on Experience. Search Consultancy are working in partnership with an successful regional civil engineering subcontractor who due to successful project wins and pipeline are looking to expand their Commercial Team. They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor who has been working within civil engineering and groundworks who has either moved up to Senior level or looking to take that next step. This position is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ambitiousand looking to progress their career within a well-established business. You will be passionate about mentoring and developing a team of surveyors at varying levels in support of the Head of Commercial. The Role * Responsible for commercially managing a number of civil engineering and groundworks projects in the northeast. * Produce interim and final budgets. * Mentor and develop more junior team members. * Manage procurement and oversee sub-contract ordering in conjunction with company procedures. * Production of monthly CVR Reports for your sites and provide key commercial data to the Head of Commercial. * Produce and approve subcontract/partner payments, including monthly on-site measurement/assessment of progress. 1 Co-ordination with key stakeholders with establishing project delivery strategy and implementation. * Regular co-ordination and reporting to the Head of Commercial with all commercial aspects of the business. * Assist team with resolving key issues and disputes. * Attend and contribute to various meetings, such as pre-order meetings, valuation meetings and project review meetings with senior management, construction team as well as external contractors. * Implementation of group policy and procedures. * Provide commercial risk profile and monitoring of Developments. What we are looking for; * Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within Civil Engineering. * BSc Quantity Surveying with good contractual knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract. * Excellent communication, problem solving, attention to detail. * Ability and desire to lead and develop commercial team members. Remuneration; This is a permanent position with a salary of £65,000 and above plus package.
