Job Description

An exciting opportunity has risen for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, in County Durham, to join this innovative and successful company, who design and develop portable power solutions.The Senior Electronics Design Engineer, in County Durham, will report into the Electronics Engineering Manager and will be responsible for supporting and leading the Engineering team with new product development for battery and charging solutions. Otherresponsibilities will include:

  • PCB design, schematic capture and layout using Altium Designer.
  • Design and development of electronics related to battery packs: battery management and protection circuits; charging circuits and power supplies; communications and other smart battery features.
  • Supporting new product development by developing products with design for manufacture, test and quality built in.
  • Creating bills of materials and selecting appropriate components to meet customer requirements.
  • Working and leading a multi-discipline team to ensure projects are delivered on time, costed appropriately, and designed to a high standard.
  • Testing battery cell packs and new products, evaluating performance and safety circuits and creating reports for customer and internal use.
The Senior Electronics Design Engineer, in County Durham, will have design experience within a relevant industry. All round electronic design skills including design and troubleshooting.
