Job Description

Seven Social Care is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to fill an exclusive opportunity specialising in providing customer focussed repairs and maintenance services. Ensuring high levels of performance, productivity, quality, compliance and cost-effective services- It is initially 3-month contract with the option at the end for that to be extended. Vacancy is based in County Durham, DH1 1TW.Pay rate- £20.53The role:You will support a key focus area of the organisation, providing a quantity surveying service to the newly created maintenance function. In maintenance this analysis will cover related activity including contractor performance, cost to serve analysis, cost breakdown, demand understanding and workload/force profiling.Key Responsibilities:- You’ll have a commercial approach, ensuring cost control and efficiency of spend within the repairs service, and you will have accountability for making sure that the team are working commercially and have a genuine understanding of how they provide cost effective and value for money services.- You will be able to visit site to measure and value works, asses sub-contractor’s payment entitlement carry out reconciliation of cost and value and forecast spend.- You will ensure the effective use of works order systems for your teams, maximising efficient use of work scheduling and ensuring accurate data recording for all activities, whilst ensuring the customer journey is mapped and that asset management data is recorded.Applicant Requirements:- Qualification: Hold a relevant degree, or relevant experience, demonstrate a genuine interest in construction repairs and maintenance- Compliance: 3-year reference and standard DBS.- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.- Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.Working with Seven Social Care:We have been helping social care professionals find exciting new roles for almost a decade, so we know exactly where to look when it comes to sourcing the best opportunities.
