Job Description

We currently have the exciting opportunity for a quality engineer within construction manufacturing to join our massive national market leading client. This role will see you establishing policies and processes to ensure the highest quality product is producedand sold.   • Develop company Quality Assurance policies and procedures; gain sign-off on these from senior management; train employees in implementing all QA standards; ensure all employees are following guidelines for QA follow-up procedures
  • Manage internal and external audits to ISO 9001
  • Manage external auditing by BSI, BBA, LPCB, BM Trada, Achilles, etc.
  • Determining, negotiating and agreeing in-house quality procedures, standards and/or specifications.
  • Working with operating staff to establish standards, systems and procedures.
  • Specifying quality requirements of raw materials with current and prospective suppliers.
  • Determining training needs.
  • Recording, analysing and distributing statistical information using visual management tools & techniques.
  • Preparing reports and presenting analysis to senior management
  • Provide written reports for both site visits and factory issues
  • Be visible on the shop-floor
  • Customer facing
  • Raise quality awareness throughout the shop-floor / office
  • Embed quality in our production processes
  • External management system documentation and FPC audits for product certifications (LPCB, BBA, etc)
  • Contract specific ITPs, system inspection documents, site quality plans, etc
  • Report on NCRs; cause and effect analysis of issues and concerns
  • Supplier evaluation / preventative supplier analysis
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • Have degree or HND in subjects such as business studies/management, process engineering or production engineering would be preferred
  • Have experience with dealing with all aspects of manufacturing, building strong relationships, communicating well, assessing the needs of others to promote the products or services to suit both the customer and the company requirements
  • Have knowledge and experience implementing and managing quality systems in accordance with ISO 9001
  • Be hard working, self-motivated with an ambition to succeed
