Over the past decade, the organisation has quadrupled their production capacity, they are investing heavily in automation and they operate with amantra of the continuous pursuit of excellenceTHE ROLEWestray Recruitment Group is seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Manager who is experienced leading Maintenance Technicians to the achievement of planned & preventative maintenance initiatives and breakdown resolution. You will be key placed to pass on knowledge,provide direction and upskill the competency of Maintenance Technicians across the various shifts. You will lead engineering projects, organise shutdowns, deliver site upgrades, help improve site safety and oversee the completion of day to day maintenancetasks, as well as coordinating breakdowns. The role requires hands on experience, but more so, you will work to develop the competency of teams and share knowledge to increase the capabilities of the Technicians.Leading a team of multi-skilled Technicians and SupervisorsCoaching and developing teamsManaging planned and reactive maintenanceDelivering maintenance based KPI’s aimed at minimising downtime and improving product qualityEnsuring the successful completion of project work and improvement initiatives (project values upwards of £60M with smaller projects £4M-£5M)Conducting appraisals, recruitment, training and the overall leadership of the Maintenance teamRunning and participating in daily, weekly and monthly meetingsManaging stores and critical sparesManaging outside contractors and ensuring H&S complianceIdentifying and driving continuous improvements methodologies and culture throughout the businessTHE PERSONMinimum 3 years Maintenance Manager experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environmentTime Served - Multi Skilled Maintenance Manager (Electrical or Mechanical bias)Educated to HNC standard or equivalentCore skills include Mechanical, Electrical, Management, PLCsProven ability to generate improvements via upskilling the teamDeveloped understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, conveyors, PLC’sAbility to capture, record and present management information based on downtime, OEE, PPMs, etcStrong computer literacyAbility to inspire others, lead and develop the capabilities of shift-based maintenance techniciansTO APPLYPlease send your updated CV to Tony Hutchinson or apply direct by calling Westray Recruitment Group
