Job Description

Our client are an established industry leading manufacturing business currently looking for a Lead Maintenance Technician(Elec Bias) to join their team.Key Duties:

  • Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.
  • Lead a Team of Shift Maintenance Technicians working continentals shifts.
  • Liaise with the Shift Manager to understand shift targets and to gauge the best times to carry out planned maintenance.
  • Delegate duties to technicians during the shift, prioritising tasks to ensure machinery runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Ensure breakdowns are dealt with as quickly as possible to reduce downtime.
  • React to shift electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
  • Have a Shift handover with previous and oncoming Shift Maintenance Team Leaders to discuss breakdowns, potential issues and tasks that need to be handed over.
Key Experience Required:
  • Must be a time served Maintenance Engineer with the ability to deal with all Electrical Mechanical Faults that arise ideally being electrically biased but not essential if competent in both.
  • Experience of leading and motivating a small team of technicians, with the ability to develop skill set.
  • Experience of working within the food industry is desirable but not essential.
  • Any extrusion experience would be beneficial but again not essential.
  • Excellent fault finding and problem solving skills are essential.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with staff at all levels.
The Package:
  • £38,000 - £39,000 per annum.
  • Bonus potential.
  • 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
