Job Description

Interaction Recruitment are currently representing a reputable engineering company based in the Durham area who are specialists in hydraulic equipment solutions, catering to a diverse range of industries. Their commitment to excellence and customer satisfactionhas established them as a leader in the field. Our client is currently seeking a skilled Hydraulic Technician to join their dynamic team and contribute to the continued success of the business.Salary: Negotiable depending on experienceWorking Hours: Monday to Friday: 07:30-15:30 with overtime available.Please Note: Applicants must be willing to be flexible to working additional hours, attend callouts and be able to work away from home when required (costs will be covered by the business).Responsibilities:

  • Service, fault-find, repair, install, commission, flush, and test various hydraulic equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify issues and diagnose problems accurately.
  • Utilize technical manuals, diagrams, and specialized tools to perform maintenance and repair tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure effective communication and provide timely solutions.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each task.
  • Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Hydraulic Technician, with a strong background in servicing, fault finding, repairing, installations, commissioning, flushing, and testing of a variety of hydraulic equipment.
  • Proficient in reading technical manuals, hydraulic schematics, and diagrams.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of hydraulic components, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex hydraulic issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, delivering high-quality results within deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours, attend callouts, and travel when required. Costs related to travel and accommodation will be covered by the business.
