Job Description

HR OfficerJob Type: Full Time, PermanentSalary: £26,800 - £30,000 per annumLocation: DurhamAbout the CompanyOur client is an Executive Agency of the Chancellor of the Exchequer. They are one of the UKs largest retail savings organisations with 25 million customers and more than £179 billion of funds under management. They are best known for Bonds butalso offer a wide range of other savings products. Their remit is to raise cost-effective debt financing for the Government. They achieve this by offering a portfolio of secure retail financial savings products, as an alternative to raising funds on the wholesalemarket.The RoleThe company are currently looking for a HR Officer to join their Human Resource team to provide a comprehensive HR function to the whole business. The role will report into one of the HR Managers and the appointed person will work closely with a range ofstakeholders.The successful individual will be required:

  • To assist the HR team in the delivery of a full HR service providing timely advice, information and fit for purpose solutions.
  • To provide comprehensive and professional HR administration support and advice across the full employee lifecycle on all HR operational transactional processes.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of working within a busy HR function and as part of a team, whilst also using own initiative, in order to provide a quality service.
  • Experience of dealing with a high level of administration/coordination including recruitment, payroll and associated queries within changing / tight timeframes
  • Extensive experience of working with a range of IT systems and applications including Word, Excel, HR Information Systems and finance systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to translate and interpret policies and procedures, providing appropriate guidance and assistance when required
