Job Description

Housing Support Worker (Mental Health) Vacancy waiting to be filledVenn Group would like to introduce the following position of Housing Support Worker for a charity in DurhamPosition: Housing Support Worker (Mental Health) Location: North Durham Rate: £11.68 – £13.44 p/hour (PAYE inc holiday pay) Length: 12 weeksHours: 35 – 40 hours p/week – occasional evenings and weekends and be on the out of hours on-call rotaThe role will predominantly involve:

  • Working primarily within the Hospital Discharge Service, you will be responsible for providing excellent support to our service users with multiple needs which may include mental and physical health issues, substance misuse and housing related support needs
  • Focussing on helping our residents to build on their strengths, overcome problems and supporting them to move towards a more independent lifestyle
  • Creating and delivering tailored, personalised support plans
  • Dealing with emergency situations and so you will work within H&S procedures especially regarding Risk Assessment, Safeguarding and Lone Working
