Community Housing Assistant (CHA)Working across Durham, Teesside, and SunderlandPermanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw) Salary £21,314 pa, plus great benefits!Empowering customers to live rewarding and happy lives. Thats when it hits homeThis is a great job opportunity for a Community Housing Assistant (CHA) to join Home Groups awesome housing team in Durham, Teesside, and Sunderland. Our CHA is not just providing our customers with a home theyre building relationships with them before theybecome our customers and supporting them to sustain their tenancies. If you like variety, supporting customers, and want to develop a career in housing, then this is the perfect job for you!Youll support with tasks such as managing our voids processes which includes liaising with local authorities.Theres nothing better than knowing you have given a family a new home where they will feel safe and happy.About you

  • Have a can do positive attitude, youre proactive and well organised
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a genuine desire to help your customers
  • Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business and external partners
  • The cherry on the cake would be if you understand/experience of housing management, housing law, and universal credit too, but its not a deal breaker!
  • Comfortable using technology to update records etc. with a keen eye for detail
  • Like being part of a team
  • Naturally empathetic, you build rapport quickly and have a sound understanding of maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • As this is a community-based job, you need to be able to drive, as well as have access to a vehicle that has been insured for business purposes. Dont worry, well pay your expenses to cover this use.
