Head of FinanceLocation: Newcastle/ DurhamContract length: 6 months+Nature and Scope*Responsible for the integrity and assurance of the financial ledgers (sales accruals, operating costs and balance sheet)*Leading the planning and execution of my clients financial reporting processes, including monthly reporting, formal forecasts and medium-term plans. Lead the consolidation across of results across activities and assets to present the total company view. *Accountable for submission of financial information into relevant shareholder systems and preparing financial information used by finance business partners with external investors*Accountable for determining overall finance data and systems needs and implementation of the strategy. Identifying and implementing improvements in the core financial processes. Supported by investments appropriate systems and tools*Managing and leading the change in the financial systems used either through continuous development or implementation of new systems to meet changing customer needs. This includes working with the companys Finance Shared Services (FSS) to determine which activities can be transferred to the FSS team*Ensuring accounting policies are successfully implemented and operating effectively across the business. *Leading and planning the smooth and timely preparation and audit of statutory accounts for group companies.*Liaising with the Senior Tax Manager to ensure tax compliance of the business. *Production and provision of management information by liaising with the Business Partnering teams for forecast information and Financial Reporting & Planning team for actual performance; design and deliver additional regular financial reports and packs as required*Managing the provision of internal governance, risk and control requirements to quality and time and identification and delivery of improvements in this process.*Delivery of documentation on the teams key processesExperience and skills required*UKGaap reporting and USGaap reporting experience*Fully qualified and membership status (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)*Experience restructuring finance teams*Managing company-wide budget*Senior level, ideally 8-10 years professional experience Required skills
