They are the backbone of the PIP experience within Independent Assessment Services and give vital support to health practitioners.BST input claimant conditions provided by the DWP to Independent Assessment Services system (PRS). Quality is imperative at this stage to ensure manual input is correct. The claim then moves to a Health Practitioner for medical assessment. Completed Assessmentsare returned to BST and are automatically processed and transferred electronically to DWP system (PIPCS).Your duties will include:

  • Inputting manual claimant referrals from the DWP to the Independent Assessment Services system (PRS)
  • Inputting claimant medical details taken from the DWP PIP2 application to Independent Assessment systems (PRS).
  • BST helpline, taking calls from the DWP for progress updates and complex queries.
  • BST receive other tasks from the DWP that require further investigation: Change of Claimant Circumstances e.g. address, death notification, claim withdrawal.
  • Dealing with requests from HPs, Scheduling and Customer Services, e.g. change of circumstances, returning claims to the DWP and resolving other queries by liaising with the DWP.
  • Checking and organising payments for Factual reports that GPs provide on behalf of claimants.
