St Johns College, Durham, are looking to appoint a qualified (or part-qualified) accountant to a new post within their finance department on a part-time (3 days per week), temporary (12 weeks) basis.JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSEAs a valued member of the department, the postholder will be a key member of the finance team and will take a leading role in research post-award activities, including checking expenditure against grant terms and conditions. The postholder will also provideother financial administrative support as part of the finance team.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESReview and scrutinise terms and conditions of research grants, review and query expenditure where appropriate. Create reporting templates for research grants. Undertake financial reporting to Principal Investigators and, where applicable, to funders forresearch grants held within college. Reviewing expenditure on grants ensuring these are in line with funder requirements.
