Job Description

We are searching for a Construction Tutor to take on a fantastic opportunity in one of the prisons we are supporting. If you are passionate about supporting vulnerable people and are looking for a new, challenging opportunity, this is the perfect role foryou!Role Details:

  • Part time
  • Working hours Monday - Wednesday, AM only
  • Permanent
  • Salary banding of £25,623.70 to £31,978.37 (Subject to pay review) Pro Rata.

They fulfil the Group’s social mission by providing the learning, skills and opportunity that offenders need to build positivefutures for themselves, their families, and our communities.What the role entails:As a Trainer, you will be responsible for Construction professionals, specialising in Construction Level 1 & 2. Construction programme in wet trades which includes, tiling, plastering, bricklaying and general maintenance and repair (but not limited) Alsobe able to train the learners on Safety, Health and Environment for Construction according to the CSCS standards.The Ideal Candidate:
  • Multi-Skills construction service experience.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Having the ability to track and monitor learners progress against course criteria.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience in the relevant vocational area
  • Willing to gain PTLLS within 6 months.
  • Commitment to gain an assessor award required by relevant Awarding Bodies, within one year
  • Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy or be willing to commit to qualifying (s) within 1 year.
  • Gain, hold and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
