Your future employer is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join their growing team, primarily working on commercial laundry equipment. The ideal candidate will be someone who is self motivated, pro-active, and has previous experienceas an Engineer, either on commercial laundry equipment, or other industries with a transferable skills set, eg. commercial catering, white goods, etc.Given the nature of this position, we are offering a strong package of £31-36k per annum depending on experience, along side a company vehicle. This position is Monday to Friday, with 1 in 6 weekends (on call) which will be paid at an overtime rate.The successful candidate will be covering the North East of England, so will need to be located in the Durham/Darlington area preferably.The expected duties and ideal experience for the successful engineer are as follows:* Responding to machine failures within the agreed SLA* Working on a variety of commercial laundry equipment such as washing machines and tumble dryers * Training staff on sites showing the operational features of the equipment once it is installed* Liaising with the service desk to ensure calls are completed* Working towards a first-time-fix* Providing cover to other areas as required (due to holidays, sick days, etc.)Skills and experience required:* Minimum of 2 years experience in a Field Engineering role* Good understanding of electro-mechanical engineering* FGas qualification is desirable* Excellent communication and customer service skills* Excellent problem solving skillsFull in-house training will be provided for this position, as will all tools, and a tablet and phone. The role will be Monday to Friday, and includes covering 1 in 6 Saturdays.
