Job Description

Jackson Hogg is currently recruiting for Labolatory Technician, who will have at least 3 years’ experience working in a cleanroom/ lab environment within the semiconductor industry, with knowledge of a broad range of vacuum tools, semiconductor equipment, processes and test/inspection methods. Working within the Development Engineering team, you will be responsible to ensure the running of the lab equipment and facilities.Tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance of equipment and facilities
  • Responsible for day-to-day operation of the facility
  • Support equipment build, installation and qualification as required
  • Respond to and diagnose equipment breakdown, resolving and action repairs
  • Operation of advanced process and metrology equipment both in-house and at partner facilities
  • Support the development engineering team with QA inspection, testing and characterisation
  • Support process development and optimisation, equipment and process troubleshooting
  • Delivery of devices for internal and external projects
  • Documentation and control responsibility for all maintenance, processes and procedures
  • Collate and present processing and measurement results
  • Assist in the formulation and improvement of work procedures
  • Required Experience
  • Relevant Diploma or Tertiary qualification or equivalent applicable industry experience
  • 3 years + in a semiconductor process engineering environment, working with equipment and processes in a semiconductor cleanroom laboratory or facility
  • Hands-on particle experience with vacuum tools and other laboratory equipment
  • Electrical and mechanical system fault finding and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience working in a maintenance environment in the semiconductor field
  • Familiarity with device inspection and metrology techniques, such as optical microscope; SEM; FIB; thin-film measurement; optical and stylus profilometry
  • Motivated self-starter with a desire to learn
  • Ability to communicate in writing and verbally, documenting issues and suggesting process improvements
  • Dynamic and flexible approach to changing workloads
  • Excellent analytical skills, time management and organisational skills
