Our client is a well-respected and UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy known for their provision of specialist services to a diverse portfolio of clients. They currently have a vacancy for a hard-working and knowledgeable Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their team based in the Durham area. The ideal candidate will be someone who holds the P401 asbestos certificate with experience carrying out bulk analysis of asbestos samples within a laboratory setting. Applications from Chester-le-Street, Consett, Sunderland, Spennymoor and the surrounding areas will be considered.Essential Experience & Qualifications: Must hold the P401 asbestos certificate.Must have previous experience working in an asbestos lab environment undertaking asbestos analysis of bulk samples. Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must have proficient IT skills including competency in using Microsoft Office Package.Excellent attention to detail.Key Duties: Receiving and appropriately logging samples received into the laboratory.Preparing samples for analysis.Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.Reporting analytical findings and completing analysis test sheets.
