Agile Delivery Manager (Scrum) Location: WFH /Durham Rate: £420 per day (Inside IR35) Duration: Approx 6 MonthsThe OpportunityWere looking to bring in a Scrum Master who will act as delivery lead and drive a software application project through to completion. This is an interesting software project for the NHS and is linked to the delivery of a new payment tool that has been developed by this team, but will also be rolled out by the team. Project is about 2/3 of the way through but with plenty of interesting work still to do, especially linked to the delivery of the tool. Team consists of 8 across software development, software test and architecture and this is an agile (Specifically Scrum) environment so the goal is to bring in an agile delivery manager who will lead the team and drive the project through to successful completion. This isnt a firefighting situation, more a software delivery leader who can keep things on track, keep the DevOps on point and complete the end proportion of this end to end piece of software application development. This is public sector but with a software house / technology campus feel to the environment and this team has successfully built and deployed a number of cutting edge applications and then integrated them into the wider NHS, so its a forward thinking, innovative technology environment.About YouThe person who will secure this position will come from a background of delivering software and application solutions. Its a Microsoft C# / SQL Server bias environment so nirvana to us would look like someone who comes from that technical background who has then evolved into leadership. Leadership in this instance consists of delivery management, alongside technical people management. Public sector or healthcare background isnt important but its definitely agile and wed expect Scrum Master status and accreditation to be a given. Project is due to go live end of April 2021 and its a work from home situation at the moment, with that likely continuing to at least the end of the year. We think it could be a phased return from early 2021 so commuting range of the base in the North East would be perfect as it might be prudent to work on the basis of 1-2 days in the office from early 2021. Due to the remote management situation at the moment, the ability to be able to point to that track record of leading geographically dispersed software teams would be important. This is a public sector role, so would be strictly inside IR35. Start date is ASAP. Required skills
