Like solving problems that people didn’t know they had, in a way that they don’t understand Working for a privately owned SME that creates bespoke engineering solutions for the vehicle market means you will have variation in your role, get todesign from scratch, and be involved in complete life cycle engineering services – this is an unusual but highly interesting opportunity to join a company that have been trading over 40 years, providing you with stability, technically challenging work, ina team orientated environment. We want to hear from candidates who have an interest in all things automotive, ideally having worked in an electrical design role that involves vehicles, or have an understanding of vehicle systems. If you are into motorsport, great. You’ll be a team playerwho wants to work onsite because you know that collaboration is key to the successful completion of design projects. You’ll also be committed to developing your career with regards CPD, for example through EIT.Day to day you will be using CAD to design components and assemblies from concept to production. You’ll produce electrical schematics and wiring looms, and have significant draughting experience in order to do this (Autocad and SolidWorks).You’ll need a minimum of an HNC qualification in Electrical Engineering, and have knowledge of automotive electrics, both 12v and 24v.The company offer a compressed working week (08:00 – 17:15 Mon – Thu and 08:00 – 13:00 Fri), 25 days plus BH for annual leave increasing with service, Life insurance, plus a variety of other benefits available on request.
