Exciting opportunity for a forward thinking pharmacy technicianFollowing the announcement of new funding from NHS England, we have an exciting opportunity to appoint a pharmacy technician to the West Somerset Primary Care Network (PCN). You will provide support to all of the surgeries across the PCN (Minehead Medical Centre, Dunster & Porlock Surgeries, West Somerset Healthcare & Exmoor Medical Centre).The Practice’s Pharmacy Technician is an integral part of the clinical team, using and sharing pharmacy technician expertise to support the GPs, Pharmacists and the whole practice in effective medicines management and optimal patient care.The role will include supporting medicines reconciliation to improve continuity of care, enhancing medicines management within our care homes as well as undertaking audits and patient safety projects.You will be well supported by the SHS team of pharmacists, and technicians as well as the wider multi-disciplinary team.There will be a requirement to participate in the national CPPE pharmacy technician in General Practice training pathway.The post is for one whole time equivalent, and we welcome applications for both full or part-time employment (minimum 0.5WTE)Please open the job description/person specification for a comprehensive overview of the role.For more information contact Kate Jones, Symphony lead pharmacist kate.jones@ydh.nhs.uk phone: , or Dr Kelsey Boddington, PCN Clinical lead
