Job Description

Due to continued growth my client are looking for a belt assembly operative to join their team. Key responsibilities for the position include:Support and Liaise with all manufacturing personnel to aid the successful resolution of issues in daily manufacturing activities (process and technical).Maintain, develop and optimise key processes, including evaluating data and monitor site processes and systems.The maintenance and upkeep of process technical specifications and control documents.Evaluate metrics, discover areas for improvement, take corrective actions, monitor and validate changes/upgrades.Train and support production employees process understanding, technical knowledge and competency.Actively participate in, or facilitate, root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to assist in the development and the repair of some elements of plant and machinery.Plan and organise trials, communicate presentations and technical reports when required.Support capital investment requests, create technical specifications, conduct tests and trials and ensure processes are optimised and capable.Support the implementation and commissioning of projects within time and cost constraintsThe successful person will require:Manufacturing experience in a high value add or a continuous process environment.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with all colleagues at all levels.Strong attention to detail, with proven ability to identify, to assess and solve problems including the facilitation of root cause analysis (RCA).Knowledge of real time data monitoring and process evaluation; statistical process control (SPC) tools and analysis.Some experience in the use of continuous improvement and lean tools and techniques with the ability to persuade others to change existing practices.Strong PC and analytical skills, good written and verbal communication including presenting and report writing.Can work autonomously; has the tenacity to learn and develop understanding on bespoke processes.Be able to work flexibly on either shift, from time to time, as required to suit the business need.The standard hours of work are 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday, however there will be occasions when you will be required to work weekends and operate as part of the service teamOvertime premiums are paid after your standard working weekA full UK driving licence is required for this role.
