Job Description

Are you a skilled and innovative Process Engineer looking for a new and exciting opportunity in Dudley, UK If youre passionate about driving process improvement and thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you!We are delighted to bring this fantastic opportunity to market, our client are a Major Automotive company and worldwide leader in their sector based in Dudley. Following a period of substantial growth, they are looking to add a dynamic Process Shift Engineerto their team.Duties as a Process Shift Engineer will include:

  • Responsibility for all aspects of Injection Moulding including providing high level technical support for moulding and assembly processes to ensure products are manufactured in optimum time with correct dimensions and quality required by the customer.
  • Conducting initial Tool trials in plant and develop production process by driving Process Maturation and create Documentation in readiness for production process.
  • Providing technical support for assembly processes with a focus to standardised set ups to minimise downtime and scrap.
  • Providing technical support for assembly processes with a focus standardised set ups to minimise downtime and scrap with support processes i.e. welding, leak testers etc.
  • Start up and close down injection moulding machines in line with manufacturers instructions to minimise energy waste and scrap levels.
  • Working as a team member of an organised cell unit and maintain full flexibility within the Plastics manufacturing area.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping at all times being responsible for correct storage and validating that 5S cleaning and inspection of process equipment is completed to the standard.
The ideal Process Shift Engineer applicant will have:
  • Level 2 or above plastics training Previous technical experience working with multiple injection moulding machines.
  • Tooling knowledge of injection moulding Materials knowledge for injection moulding.
  • Significant experience working in a fast-paced Tier 1 Manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Office packages.
37.5 hours a week - Fixed Nights or Rotating Afternoons and NightsPermanent Night Shift:Monday-Thursday- 9.40pm-5.50am Friday-5pm-10.50pmOrRotating Afternoons/ NightsMonday-Thursday 1.40pm-9.50pm, Friday-11.20am-5.10pmMonday-Thursday- 9.40pm-5.50am Friday-5pm-10.50pmTo be considered for this fantastic opportunity as a Process Engineer please click apply now.
