Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist Band 7 Salary: £43,742 - £50,056 (dependent on experience) + benefitsLocation: DudleyFull-time, Permanent - flexible hours consideredAbout the Role:Join our Dudley Wheelchair Service team, managing a specialist caseload for disabled children and adults with complex health needs. Travel may be required within the Dudley area, including schools, hospitals, care homes, and service users homes. Occasionaltravel to other Ross Care sites may be necessary.Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical input to wheelchair services, collaborating with service users, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Work under the direction of the Clinical Lead to achieve contractual standards and excellent customer service.
• Supervise junior staff members.
• Develop and maintain links with relevant services and organisations, including "hard to reach" sectors of the local community.

Main Duties:

• Work positively with clinical and operational colleagues, maintaining effective relationships within the team.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Lead to ensure provision of an effective clinical service that meets contractual obligations and provides excellent customer service.
• Deputise for the Clinical Lead when necessary.
• Conduct clinical supervision of junior team members.
• Identify areas for service development and participate in implementing developments.
• Support development/review of policies and standard operating procedures.
• Arrange, coordinate, and attend clinics in community/school settings.
• Communicate effectively with service user groups and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate sensitive discussions with service users, carers, and other stakeholders.
• Comply with controls assurance standards for wheelchairs.
• Identify and report areas of concern to service and senior managers.
• Contribute to reviews and evaluations of existing and new equipment.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Work as a senior autonomous practitioner, managing a caseload of highly complex service users.
• Demonstrate clinical competence, effectiveness, and best practice in all areas of clinical service delivery.
• Conduct physical/postural assessments and interventions.
• Safeguard children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
• Attend moving and handling training and comply with Ross Care policies.

Educational Responsibilities:

• Provide training, instruction, and demonstrations to service users, carers, and other therapists.
• Support the development and delivery of internal and external training programs.
• Comply with Ross Care arrangements for continued professional development.

Professional Responsibilities:

• Adhere to relevant professional standards of practice, conduct, and ethics.
• Maintain and develop own clinical competence and knowledge.
• Take responsibility for personal and service development against organisational objectives.
• Complete necessary risk assessments and risk management for all aspects of practice.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Successful management of internal/external relationships.
• Demonstration of good customer relationships.
• Demonstration of effective caseload management.
• Evidence of improved outcomes for service users.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy.
• State registration with the HCPC.
• Post-registration experience working with patients with long-term medical conditions.
• Full UK driving license for manual transmission vehicles.
