Metallurgy Engineer (Foundry)Dudley£40,000 to £45,000 DOE + Company Bonus + Holidays + Bank Holidays + Company Pension + Company Benefits + Progression OpportunitiesMonday to Friday. DAYSMetallurgy Engineer position available a well renowned manufacturer who supply to a range of different industries. They have a great reputation within their industry and a large portfolio of innovative products. You will obtain a varied role within a companywho continue to invest on site and in their employees.The role would suit Metallurgy Engineers from a strong technical and metallogical background. Applicants will ideally have previous experience within a foundry environment. Foundry Engineers who have experience within a green sand foundry environment willhave a considerable advantage and are encouraged to apply.Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to improvements within the foundry technical team to reduce scrap and improve efficiency/productivity. The role will be split between the lab and the manufacturing shop floor. Youwill work closely with and the melting team, the moulding team and 2 metallurgists on site.This is a great opportunity to join a company within exciting phase of company growth. You will join a company who are passionate about their products, value their staff within a great team environment and are truly a brand associated with quality.Metallurgy Engineer:*Working within the technical team*Contributing to the reduction of scrap to improve efficiency/productivity*Ensuring customer standards are understood and implemented at all stages of manufacture*Problem solving using 8D and 5Why LEAN techniques*Mixture of lab based and shop floor based work*Visual inspection of products*Route cause analysis of non conformances, investigation of quality complaints*Maintaining ISO:9001 quality standards*Monday to Friday.
