Job Description

Job Profile for Electrical Engineer - 00189567Electrical Engineer required for our client, an Energy Efficiency, cost reduction and carbon Management Company. They offer the opportunity to work in a technical role for a market leading consultancy.In this role the successful Electrical Engineer would be working as part of the electrical design team to deliver projects from feasibility through to construction. The projects range from electrical supply upgrades, solar PV designs and decarbonisationschemes such as Air Source through to technical coordinated design for large multinational contractors.Daily tasks would include producing drawings specifications and reports using relevant software packages such as AutoCAD, Dialux, Hevacomp and Microsoft Office.Electrical Engineer Position OverviewMain responsibilities

  • Contributing to developing the design of engineering solutions and systems within the built environment
  • Producing electrical designs and drawings for a wide range of projects
  • Using AutoCAD to generate working drawings for construction projects
  • Producing reports to support design concepts that show compliance with standards and best practice guides
  • Producing electrical engineering specifications for a wide range of projects
  • Carrying out site surveys inspecting existing installations in accordance with regulations
  • Carrying out inspections on ongoing installations reviewing progress, quality, and performance
General
  • Attend and participate in client meetings and site meetings
  • Attend and participate in design team meetings with wider disciplines
  • Attend internal design department meetings and participate in time management and workload planning
  • Build relationships with clients through good communication and output
Electrical Engineer Position RequirementsEssential-
  • Experience in electrical engineering, engineering consultancy and/or electrical installations
  • Experience in one of the following design calculation software packages: AutoCAD, Dialux, Hevacomp, Cymap, IES
  • Good working knowledge of industry regulations, electrical design and installations
  • Good working knowledge of utility services both new connections and disconnections
Desirable
  • Project leading / client facing experience
  • Project management/leading building services projects
  • Experience in BIM projects and Revit modelling
  • Experience in renewable technology and renewable systems
Electrical Engineer Position Remuneration
  • Job Type: Full time (40 hours)
  • Working hours: 08:30 - 17:30
  • Salary: £27,000 - £45,000
  • 23 days paid holiday increasing to 25 after 5 years
  • Pension scheme current minimum contributions are 3% Employer 5% Employee
  • Benefits pot- each year there will be a selection of items to choose from, such as a birthday treat, and a HR treat such as additional holiday
  • Discretionary bonus
