Job Description

Data Analyst Basic: Within IR35 - £45,000 - £50,000Length of contract: 3 monthsRole: Test and confirm reports within new reporting systemWHY: Established professional services firm + career developmentLocation: Hybrid (training and on-boarding in the West Midlands office)

We are currently working with an established financial services provider with over 100 years successful service. They have a strong track record of delivering fantastic customer service as well as being forward thinking. Culturally they are focussed on collaboration to achieve business goals and supporting your career development.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 3 month contract Data Analyst to join an exciting and urgent project. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and confirming that all reports originating from the new SOPRA mainframe system can be reconciledback to the same report from the existing SOPRA system.Data Analyst - Responsibilities:
  • Liaison with the IT team to establish data integrity of all reports generated from the new SOPRA system
  • Comparing and reconciling back all reports from the new SOPRA system with those generated by the current system
  • Where these do not reconcile, working with colleagues in Finance and IT to establish reasons for non-reconciliation and ensuring all changes are made to reports to ensure they do agree going forward
  • Maintaining a log of all reports agreed/issues raised in a timely and accurate manner, that can be used to sign off new system once all testing completed
Data Analyst - Requirements:
  • Outstanding knowledge of Excel with an excellent understanding of data reconciliation and analysis
  • Be enthusiastic and self-motivated to make a difference, thinking creatively to make improvements and resolve challenges
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication, including interpersonal skills, with people at all levels of business
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and manage time to produce accurate and thorough work whilst working to deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ideally you will have experience within Financial Services
