Job Description

My client are looking to take on a contract Data Engineer to come in on an initial 6 month contract with very strong likelihood of another 6-12 months of extensions thereafter, paying £500 - £600pd INSIDE IR35, working from home with the occasionaltrip to Bristol once every one or two months or so.Although heavily Azure based elsewhere, their current BI solution is very predominantly on-premise MSBI and they are looking to modernise and move this into an Azure Data stack architecture.The ideal candidate will be a seasoned expert who has already worked on similar projects carrying out this sort of migration previously. They will be able to come in and draw from their previous experiences to act and advise consultatively, get involved inthe architecture and design of solutions and then utilise their hands-on technical skills to go ahead and execute this.Essential Skillset / Experience- Strong Python experience- Azure Data Factory- Azure Data Lake- Azure Databricks- Azure Synapse- Azure DevOps- Experience of leading a migration from on-prem MSBI to Azure data stack solutions previouslyDesirable Skillset / Experience- Agile / Scrum- CI / CD- Infrastructure as code- An appreciation of Data Analytics and reporting (SSRS, Power BI, Tableau)If you meet the above requirements and would like to find out more about this opportunity, please apply with an up to date CV ASAP as they are looking to move very quickly with this requirement.
