The roleWe are currently looking for a Senior IT Security Specialist to help support the IT Security Manager making sure that our data is protected in accordance with the needs of the business. You will also make sure that the data is kept secure according to theinformation security principles of confidentiality, integrity and availability. You will be owning the delivery of the information security strategy as part of the overarching IT strategy.You will work with the business to make sure that projects, solutions and applications are supported and legal requirements are being met. You will also make recommendations to project teams and sponsors to make sure that all security risks are mitigated.The role will also involve providing advice and guidance to ensure the correct adoption of security principles and providing assurances that all data is secured within at least minimum mandated guidelines.You will also collate and analyse information around threat intelligence requirements from a variety of sources and will make sure that you review, rank and categorise qualitative threat intelligence information. There will also be work around designingand executing complex vulnerability research activity and modify any tests if required. This is a vital role for the organisation as we integrate with our parent company, DP Worlds infrastructure and security threats become more global in nature.The personSo what are we looking for- Experience of working within an IT security management role within a large multisite matrixed organisation- IT security management qualifications- Experience of cyber essentials including vulnerability assessment and penetration testing- Experience of ISO27001 implementation- Up to date knowledge of current IT security threats and potential future trends- Excellent verbal stakeholder communication skillsAt P&O Ferries we want you to be you.
