Our vision is for a global society that protects vulnerable migrants, treats them with respect andenables them to reach their full potential.We place a high value on employees in relation to the work that they do and the benefits the organisation offers, with an ethos of being a Great Place to Work.The Role: We are currently looking for an experienced, dynamic and organised Head of Finance to work over a busy Finance Team on aPermanent Contract.The successful candidate will show professionalism and high standards when dealing with colleagues at all levels, have absolute attention to detail, proven experience of using finance software and be passionate about protecting our vulnerable clients.The Head of Finance will be an integral member of staff within our medium sized permanent team, overseeing the finance operations and financial reporting processes of the organisation.The successful candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing the finance function, implementing processes for the day-to-day operations of finance, and overseeing the production of financial statements.If you are self-motivated and enthusiastic, have demonstrable experience of preparing management accounts including cashflow and are looking for an exciting role that makes a difference, wed love to hear from you!As the Head of Finance your duties would include:

• To undertake all accounting functions and oversee the production of monthly management accounts and year-end statutory accounts
• To ensure the integrity of financial activities and financial records by developing, implementing, and maintaining accurate and efficient processes for all financial activity
• To ensure compliance with applicable laws and procedures
• To produce consistent and reliable financial reporting, monitoring accounts, activity reports and financial forecasts as required by internal and external stakeholders
• To support the DDoF in producing profitability analysis and financial strategy
• Attending and presenting to Financial Audit Committee and at Board level as and when required
• Supporting the DDoF to develop the annual budget and cash flow forecast
• Reviewing monthly management accounts including balance sheets and all reconciliations for discussion with DDoF and DoFIQ
• Oversee and review VAT returns before submission to HMRC
• Preparing the statutory accounts for audit at year end for the charity
• Acting as key contact for the company with external parties including Bank Relationship Manager, HMRC and Auditors
• Overseeing the organisation Strategic Reserves and Investments through Asset Managers in line with our Core Values
• Any other duties as may be reasonably required

The experience and skills you need:

• Full or part qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, showing evidence of the skills required to produce accounts to Trial Balance
• Knowledge of accounting for charities and their subsidiaries and fund
• Knowledge of charity accounting (SORP) and trading subsidiaries
• Partnership - working and supporting team members
• Be culturally aware and have interpersonal awareness

What else to expect:

• This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
• With the support of your line manager, to take responsibility for personal development (CPD) and identification of training needs
• This is a hybrid role so there will be an expectation for you to attend the office as agreed with the line manager. Additional training or meetings may require additional travel, therefore flexibility will be required
• The Finance Team operate Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 6pm, however, you may, on occasion be required to work outside of these hours
