Job Description

This Product Engineer opportunity is joining the team of a prestigious company based in Tamworth. Hours are Monday to Thursday 8.00am4.30pm and Friday 8.00am1.30pm. Working within a professional project team you will deliver a product from conceptto production. As a Product Engineer you will:

Execute engineering tasks as defined in the companys development process to meet schedule, budget and specifications
Analyse and interpret the customer requirements to determine feasibility of the proposal
Develop and design the product or part from the first idea through the design process and the validation phase until it is implemented in production
Be responsible for developing and establishing layout and packing models
Meet KPIs deadline timings and deliverables of the project
Quality check all items
Support customer builds when needed
Work with cross functional teams
Travel overseas when required

Desirable skills:

Proven experience in product engineering
Skilled practitioner in Catia or equivalent 3D modelling software and PLM
Good working knowledge of computer systems (MS office, MS project, MRP)
LEAN principles / business improvement techniques
Plastic injection moulded and die cast part design experience
Second languageAny European second language
