Job Description

Our globally recognised client, is an established engineering firm with a focus on waterbased projects and they are looking for Senior Project Manager to join international team. There will be monthly travel to the US and Europe (occasionally to the Middle East). They are based in the outskirts of Dorking and are keen to find someone who enjoys a high level of client-facinginteraction and service. You should have the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams of designers and engineers, as well as internationally based external clients and consultants.Responsibilities

  • Proactively and comprehensively communicate all aspects of a project with stakeholders using a variety of written and verbal tools.
  • Provide the technical knowledge needed to complete a well-designed and constructible set of documents, including written specifications and engineering analysis.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality design and engineering deliverables (schematic design through construction documents) by co-ordinating with sales and an internal team of designers and engineers.
  • Collaborate with architects and sub-consultants to ensure a well-coordinated project.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct on-site construction visits and generate field reports.
  • Respond to submittals and RFIs in a timely manner.
  • Assumes responsibility for other duties assigned or needed.
Requirements:
  • Degree in project management, construction, mechanical, civil or electrical engineering, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Periodic international travel to Client for project co-ordination.
  • Proficient in the use of various software programs: MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, and familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Works independently on projects, exercising good judgment, decision-making, and when and where to engage others to successfully complete a project.
  • Manages multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interprets and exceeds internal and external client expectations and team needs.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent detail orientation and time management skills.
