Activities Coordinator in DorkingAbout our clientOur expanding Healthcare Division is working with a home in Dorking, The beautiful home sits in a quiet, yet conveniently set. They provide residential accommodation and is divided into two annexes, with residents enjoying their independence within the homesplentiful lounges, restaurants, conservatories and gardens.Salary: £12.03Whats in it for you

Mileage is paid at 45p/mile for travel.

Whats involvedAs a Activities Coordinator in Dorking, your role may involve:

Support with creating, planning and delivering activities, outings, and events.
Contacting and working with third parties to arrange events such as choirs, dancing and shows, and any transport that is needed.
Managing any activities that have been organised
Accompanying residents on any outings
Attending any meetings
Updating any social media platforms, newsletters, and noticeboards, with photographs and information
Completing any documents and updating records.
Provide one-on-one support to residents who require individualized attention
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members
44 BED HOME
35 hours a week
The shifts are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday with occasional, weekend ad hoc hours to support events in the care home. the role will also involve occasional travel to our other homes (mileage paid).

Ideal Candidate

Care experience.
Be a car driver and hold a UK driving license.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Knowledge of dementia care techniques and strategies (Preferable)
Have the ability to plan and organize activities that cater to a diverse range of interests and abilities
Be Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with seniors
Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff members
NVQ - Health And Social Care (ideal not essential)
Full care certificate (ideal not essential)
