An exciting new vacancy with one of our local clients!We’re currently recruiting for a Packing Manager for a busy factory based just 10 minutes of drive from Bridport and 20 minutes from Dorchester.It’s a full-time (early shift), permanent role with a salary of £43,000 per annum.As a Packing Manager, you would be responsible for managing the daily requirements, performances, and staffing of the packing and production lines.Your main tasks as a packing manager would be:·To drive the production plan with a view to processing/preparing/cutting/packing and labeling the product·To fully understand the requirements for recording daily production and maintain traceability.·To enforce stock segregation management systems·To ensure that there are sufficient stocks of ingredients/packing materials to meet manufacturing/packing requirements.·To proactively implement all housekeeping and hygiene requirements within the department·To assist in the provision of solutions for quality problems.·To lead by example and promote hygiene practices within the department and facilitate training of staff on and on-going basis.·Completion of paperwork and systems in a legible and concise manner·To handle chemicals on a daily basis, understand fully their hazards and company requirement for COSHH.·To acknowledge fully and work within the company’s guidelines on Health and Safety.·To report problems, issues, or difficulties with equipment, building fabric, fixtures, and fittings as identified.·To supervise and delegate duties to staff as appropriate and as required and to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.·Along with others maintain site accreditation.(Full job spec available upon application)Who are we looking forWe’re looking for a manufacturing professional having at least 2 years of experience in a BRC-certified environment.Ideally, you would need to have a Food Hygiene Level 3 Certificate as well as HACCP qualification (or be ready to work towards it)and good leadership, interpersonal, and team working skills plus relevant experience in a supervisory/ managerial role.What are the benefits
