Technical Estimator (Commercial Glazing) - £30,000+ p/a - Rotherham / Doncaster

An exciting opportunity for a Technical Estimator with experience from within commercial glazing to work for a leading organisation within their field who have grown throughout lockdown and are expected to expand further moving into 2022. A business whereemployees tend to stay and not move on, keen to strengthen their sales team by recruiting a customer focussed estimator to manage enquiries, liaise professionally and effectively with all parties, provide technical quotations and relay accurate informationacross all departments.Sales and Estimating - the role:
  • Analyse customer enquiries ensuring prompt and accurate quote generation
  • Build relationships throughout the business with colleagues in planning, sales and purchasing
  • Regularly liaise with the customers, adopting clear and concise communication skills
  • Assist architects with technical and design duties
  • Relaying information to all departments to support accurate manufacturing processes
  • Working in the estimating office to assist with tender bids
  • Identify, recommend and then implement where directed continuous improvement
  • Use a methodical and organised approach to all work and projects
  • Business Awareness and a clear understanding of Company objectives
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers
In order to be considered for the Sales and Estimating position, you will:
  • Have a minimum of 2 Years experience in the commercial glazing market
  • Have the ability to read and understand technical drawings (plans, elevations, sections)
  • Be fully proficient in the use of Microsoft; Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Ideally have System & Software Knowledge of Technik, Seniors, SAPA, however training can be provided for the right person
  • Ideally have good working knowledge of Logikal and Tech-Design estimating software, however, training can be provided in-house and with the System suppliers for the right person
  • Be able to plan and schedule work efficiently and effectively
  • Have a high level of numeracy
  • Be highly customer service focussed, both externally and internally
