Job Description

Job Title: Teacher of Hospitality and Catering (Secondary Teacher)Location: Doncaster DN4Contract Type: Full Time/Long Term (Can turn to Perm)Start Date: April 2024Pay Scale: 130-175 GBP per day.Commutable Areas: Doncaster, Rotherham, Sheffield, and Scunthorpe.About School:REED Education is looking for the Teacher of Hospitality and Catering to join our partnered school in Doncaster. The school is an all-through Alternative Provision that provided Full Time and Part Time education and support for children and young people.Alongside, our academic offer, the school also provides a range a of therapeutic interventions to aid students with their mental and emotional well-being.The latest Ofsted grading (December 2019) showed the school to be ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding’ Personal Development.Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that student achievement in Hospitality and Catering is maximized.
  • Uphold the school’s reward & behavior policy, attendance and punctuality policies, classroom codes & uniform regulations.
  • Carry out teaching duties in accordance with the school’s schemes of work and the defined National Curriculum.
  • As a member of a Vocational Education department work with colleagues and support staff to deliver units of work in a personalized way.
  • Ensure that suitably adaptive material and learning pathways are provided to challenge all students at the appropriate level.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Experience working in Hospitality and Catering with Secondary SEN Students.
  • Relevant qualifications (QTS & PGCE).
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Patience and ability to adapt to individual’s needs.
  • Ability to cover core subjects.
