Elevation are currently partnered with a global plastic business based in Doncaster who are looking for a shift manager to join their team. Reporting directly into the Production Manager you would be responsible for circa 20 people whilst covering 15 production lines. The role would be working the 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Key Responsibilities;-Assist with the efficient and safe running of the department and ensure a quality of service is provided-Deliver job skills training, supporting the department to create a skilled workforce and carry out performance reviews-Manage shift activities and achieve department goals through focussing on continuous improvement and promoting a team-based culture-Ensure production outputs are met on time and in full-Maintain and promote H&S to a high standard-Liaise with management before making decisions, which affect the overall operation-Maintain a safe working environment - conduct floor walks, follow up action points, measure housekeeping daily using the correct process-Make decisions and find solutions - analyse information, evaluate results to achieve the best solutionDesired Experience;-Previous experience of supervising and motivating a team ideally within a production environment-In depth understanding of Extrusion, Compounding & Mixing processes-Proven track record and the ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of material processing (PVC, Polypropylene, ABS and Polystyrene, Polybutylene and HDPE)-IOSH Managing Safely certification-Strong people management, communication and problem-solving skills-Knowledge of the products would be an advantage-Fully training to carry out risk assessments and Level 2 audits-Commitment and drive-Computer literate-Excellent organisation and ability to meet deadlines-High-level attention to detailIf you feel you meet the above criteria please apply for the role or reach out directly to Jordan Shutt on .
