Are you looking for the right role for you Then look no further....Regional Manager - Landfill, SouthSalary - Competitive plus benefitsHours - 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am to 5.00pmLocation - Home-based, with national travelAs a Regional Manager, you will develop, manage and control the regions operations to achieve agreed revenue and profit targets, through efficient operating practices and excellent customer service.Our promise to you- 25 days annual leave (full-time working) plus Bank Holidays- Pension scheme- Life Insurance- Discretionary bonus scheme- On the job training/progression- Recognition- Flexible benefits including high street savings, cycle to work scheme and Gymflex membership- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and the Best Doctors ServiceWhat will you be doing- Progressing and building upon defined standards of operation, safety and compliance - ahead of statutory requirements- Overseeing all operational working practices to ensure conformance with legislation and generally higher Company standards of quality, safety and environmental policies- Overseeing and controlling operations in the region to ensure the achievements of budgeted revenue, operating profit and cash targets- Developing opportunities to optimise the sites / contracts to the greatest commercial benefit- Developing and implementing management cost plans for all facilities in the region, focusing on continual improvement within the overall regional and national strategy- Assisting with the development and implementation of new techniques for waste management- Providing leadership and direction to Site Managers through mentoring and coaching- Liaising with the Trade Sales team to support the achievement of business sales targets- Ensuring each operation site in the region has adequate resources in terms of plant, equipment, premises and personnel- Developing good industrial relations, including sound relationships with recoginsed unions, within the framework of corporate policies- Building relationships with the community, existing customers, regulatory authorities and others- Ensuring compliance with HR policies and developing training plans- Liaising with the Environment Manager to ensure compliance is maintained at our facilities- Developing and sharing best practice within the region and the wider businessWhat are we looking for- A proven track record in a senior management role, and of achieving demanding targets for revenue, cost control, operating profit improvement and service quality- At least five years experience in an organisation with a professional and disciplined approach to business management, as evidenced by its business plans, performance expectations, service standards and people development- Considerable previous involvement in business improvement and service enhancement initiatives- Proven success of influencing at the highest level- A background in a manufacturing / processing industry, utility or customer service industry in which compliance with regulatory controls is an important factor- Familiarity with the design and operation of programmes which ensure compliance with company and externally defined standards- The ability to implement change programmes that have a positive impact on key performance indicators- To be financially astute with strong commercial awareness- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of developing and motivating a widespread and multi-disciplined team- A degree (or equivalent)About UsWe are FCC Environment, one of the nations leading waste and resource management companies.
