Job Description

The Role:IT Diagnostics Engineer - Permanent Role - £45,000 + Hybrid Working + Lots of BenefitsAs an IT Diagnostics Engineer you will provide a high level of IT support to a fleet of around 200 diagnostic laptops in various locations around the UK. You will use a range of tools and systems to manage and report on the status of devices, create standardbuilds and coordinate the deployment of software applications and patches. This is a great opportunity for an IT support professional to take the next step in their career working in a small EUC team.

  • Day-to-day management and support of diagnostic laptop fleet
  • Report and manage the status of devices
  • Create standard diagnostic laptop builds
  • Coordinate application removal/deployment and updates
  • Work with other technicians to understand software config and usage
You Should Have:
  • Advanced 2nd line IT support experience
  • In depth knowledge of Windows 10 and Office 2016
  • In depth knowledge of Windows domains and networking (AD/DNS/DHCP/WAN/LAN/File Shares)
  • Hardware management and build automation (SCCM/WSUS/OSD)
  • Experience of endpoint protection (anti-virus, anti-malware)
  • Experience of mobile device support
  • Excellent software support skills
  • Excellent IT troubleshooting skills
  • Experience of supporting a multi-site organisation with a large laptop estate
Desirable But Non-Essential:
  • Experience with scripting and automation.
  • Basic understanding of project management practices.
